Custom Perfume Boxes
Custom perfume boxes are printed cartons made to fit one exact bottle. They keep the glass from moving in transit and give the fragrance a finished look on the shelf. You choose the style, the board, the printing, and the insert that holds the bottle in place.
Custom Boxes Deals makes these boxes in house for fragrance brands, private label sellers, attar and bakhoor businesses, and retailers buying in bulk. Send your bottle measurements and artwork, and you get a quote back within one business day.
Final pricing depends on dimensions, material, printing, finishing and quantity.

Which Perfume Box Should You Choose?
Custom perfume boxes come in a few main styles: rigid, two piece, drawer, magnetic lid, flip top, tray and sleeve, clamshell, cylinder, folding, and mailer. Rigid and drawer boxes suit premium retail, folding boxes cost the least per unit, and mailers are the ones built to ship straight to a customer.
Build this as a three column table on the page. Style, best for, how it opens.
- Rigid. Premium retail shelves. Lid lifts off.
- Two piece. Gift sets and launches. Lid lifts off.
- Drawer. A slow, considered unboxing. Slides out from the side.
- Magnetic lid. Boxes opened again and again. Snaps open and shut.
- Flip top. Retail display. Hinged lid, nothing separates.
- Tray and sleeve. Branding printed on the sleeve. Tray slides out.
- Clamshell. Packing orders by hand. Folds open in one piece.
- Cylinder. Round bottles. Lid lifts off.
- Folding. Lowest unit cost, flat storage. Folds flat.
- Mailer. Shipping direct to a customer. Folds open, insert inside.
The right style depends on your bottle, your price point, and how the box reaches the buyer.
Rigid perfume boxes use thick board wrapped in printed paper. They do not flex in the hand, which is what most buyers are reacting to when they call packaging premium.
Two piece perfume boxes have a separate lid and base. The lid lifts straight off, so the reveal is slow. It suits gift sets and launches.
Drawer perfume boxes slide open from the side like a matchbox, and the outer sleeve protects the inner tray.
Magnetic lid perfume boxes snap shut on hidden magnets. They close without tape or ribbon, so the box survives being opened and shut many times.
Flip top perfume boxes have a hinged lid attached to the base. Nothing comes apart, which helps on a busy retail display.
Tray and sleeve perfume boxes pair an inner tray with an outer sleeve. The tray holds the bottle and the sleeve carries your printing.
Clamshell perfume boxes fold shut in one piece, which makes them quick to pack when you are filling orders yourself.
Cylinder perfume boxes are round rather than square. They fit round bottles properly and they stand out in a row of square cartons.
Folding perfume bottle boxes ship flat and fold up when you need them, so they cost less per unit and take up far less storage.
Perfume mailer boxes are built for shipping. They use thicker board, and the bottle sits in an insert so it cannot move.
If you are not sure which fits, send us the bottle and what you are trying to achieve, and we will tell you what works.
What Size Box Does Your Perfume Bottle Need?
Perfume boxes are made to your bottle, not to a fixed size list. Measure the bottle height with the cap on, the width at its widest point, and the depth front to back, then allow a few millimeters on each side for the insert. A box that is even slightly loose lets the bottle rattle, and one that is too tight will not close cleanly.
Send these three measurements with your inquiry:
- Height of the bottle, including the cap
- Width at the widest point, which is often the shoulder rather than the base
- Depth, front to back
Sprayers, thick glass bases, and shaped shoulders all change the numbers, so measure the real bottle rather than working from the design file.
An insert grips the bottle so it cannot slide. It adds a few millimeters on each side, and we account for that when we build the dieline.
Retail fragrance usually sits around 30ml, 50ml, and 100ml, and we already make boxes for 50ml and 1.7oz bottles. Smaller formats have their own boxes, including mini and travel sizes and roller bottles.
If you are unsure, send the measurements and we will confirm the box size before anything is printed.
What Materials and Finishes Are Available?
Perfume boxes are made from rigid board, cardboard, card stock, kraft, or corrugated. Printing is full color CMYK, Pantone for exact brand colors, or unprinted. Finishes include matte and gloss lamination, Spot UV, embossing, and gold or silver foil.
Rigid board gives the stiffest, most premium feel. Cardboard and card stock are lighter and fold flat, which keeps the unit cost down. Kraft has a natural brown look, and corrugated adds strength for anything traveling a long way. If low waste matters to your brand, ask about sustainable perfume packaging in recycled stock.
Most artwork prints fine in full color CMYK. Pantone, also called PMS, matches an exact brand color, which matters when your shade has to look identical on every run. You can also order the boxes unprinted.
Matte lamination gives a soft surface and gloss makes color look brighter. Spot UV puts shine on one part of the design only, so a logo lifts off a matte background. Embossing presses the design up so you can feel it. Foil adds a metallic layer in gold or silver.
What is available depends on the board and the style you pick. Not every finish works on every material, and we will say so when a combination will not hold up.
Who These Boxes Are For
Fragrance brands launching a scent need a box that holds its own next to established names on the shelf. Private label sellers usually want one design that works across several bottle shapes, which changes how the insert is cut.
Attar and bakhoor carry their own presentation expectations, so we make attar packaging and bakhoor packaging as their own formats rather than adapting a standard carton. Subscription operators ship every month and get judged on camera, so subscription packaging has to survive the post and still look right when someone films the unboxing.
For seasonal retail there are gift ready perfume boxes, and home fragrance sellers use the same structures for reed diffusers and perfume oils.
We also make cosmetic boxes, gift boxes, and rigid boxes if you pack more than fragrance.
How Ordering Works
- Send your bottle measurements, the quantity, the style you have in mind, and your artwork if you have it. We reply within one business day.
- We come back with the board, box style, print method, and finish we recommend, plus a price for the job.
- We prepare or check your artwork and dieline. There are no design fees, and you get a free 3D mockup so you can see the box before approving it.
- Nothing goes to production until you sign off the artwork.
- Before bulk production starts we send a video of your actual packaging. You are looking at the finished box rather than a render, while there is still time to change something.
- Standard production is 6 to 8 business days after final artwork approval. Rush production is 3 to 5 business days when approved, with a 10 percent surcharge. Time spent waiting on artwork or approval does not count as production time.
- Free standard shipping worldwide. Standard transit is 10 to 15 business days after production. Expedited transit is 7 to 10 business days for qualifying destinations, with a 10 percent surcharge.
Our minimum order is 100 units per design.
Frequently Asked Questions
Helpful answers about this packaging category, customisation, production and delivery.
What is the minimum order for custom perfume boxes?+
100 units per design. If you are running two different bottles, that counts as two designs and 100 units of each.
Can I order perfume boxes without any printing?+
Yes. Plain unprinted boxes come in the same styles and boards. Some brands order them unprinted and apply their own labels, which works well for small batches and for testing a new scent.
Will my perfume bottle survive shipping?+
That depends on the insert more than the box. An insert stops the bottle moving against the walls, and movement is what usually breaks glass in transit. For orders going straight to a customer, a mailer box with an insert is safer than a plain retail carton.
Can I see the box before the full order is made?+
You see it twice. A free 3D mockup comes before you approve the artwork, and after approval we send a video of your actual finished packaging before bulk production begins. If something looks wrong in that video, there is still time to fix it.
Do you ship outside the United States?+
Yes. Standard shipping is free worldwide, with transit normally 10 to 15 business days after production. Customs duties, import taxes, VAT or GST, and any destination country charges are the customer's responsibility and are not included in the quote.
